Alright. I fail as a blogger. I'll admit it. But it's because I have been out living the dream. Just returned from filming a movie out in West Virginia and having some of the most amazing experiences of my life. Exploring caves, climbing mountains, flying on planes no bigger than a school bus, & most importantly..watching some amazingly talented people working together to create a film that is going to be brilliant.

Almost two months later and I'm back. Now I can't say I have a good excuse for my lack of posting except to say I do practically live in my car (not for long I have my new house in OC waiting for me), which makes it slightly difficult to blog on a regular basis. LA and has been sucking me in 4 times a week for school, orange county keeps me captive in the evening, and san diego is where I go to sleep by the pool and drink a margarita. Not to mention I spent the last weekend in Seattle & am planning my yearly road trip to Texas. Thus, my interweb life has taken a massive hit. But have no fear I am here & ready to post more photos then ever. Completely re-inspired by the last months I can't wait to share stories and photos from the latest adventures. Hope everyones summer has been going splendid.

It's official, I'm a nerd. I can't go a week without reading. Since the beginning of this year I have read some truly amazing novels with some inspiring characters. However, with every great book has to come the end. The dwindling amount of pages toward the ending of an inspiring novel are always kind of heartbreaking, like leaving a world you've come to love, and friends you cherished. I have to admit I love those celluloid misfit characters. These characters - the disillusioned, disaffected night-dwellers are both multi faceted & believable. The characters that scare you, that you read about and find yourself biting your lip in anticipation of their next move- they're the keepers.

I just recently finished The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger & was so inspired that I have decided that I am going to start writing about these books I'm devouring & hopefully inspire some of you to read them as well!

Kate Bosworth graces the cover of this months Nylon Magazine.

Kate Bosworth began her acting career at the age of 14 when she starred opposite Scarlett Johansson in The Horse Whisperer. While many of her peers encouraged her to get her GED and move to LA to purse a career in acting she decided to finish high school in her home town of Cohasset, a seaside town just south of Boston. However, after being accepted into Princeton she decided it was time to pursue her acting career. Since then she has been in major motion pictures such as Blue Crush & 21, as well as a few indie films, Another Happy Day & Little Birds. Her sense of style has caught peoples attention causing her to become a somewhat muse for designers. After a little inspiration Kate & friend/ stylist Cher Coulter launched their own jewelry line; jewelmint. Throughout her time in the spotlight Kate has remained a classy and beautiful young woman that girls all over can look to for inspiration. It's safe to say Kate's here to stay.

Radioheads new album.

Radiohead just released it's eighth album, a day earlier then expected. While relatively short considering it's only 8 tracks, spanning 37 minutes worth it is still full of their rich unique sound.

500 Days of Summer.

A nonlinear romantic comedy about a man who falls head over heels for a woman who doesn't believe in love. Joseph Gordon-Levitt (who coincidentally just had his 30th birthday) plays Tom, a young aspiring architect who is currently earning his living at his lackluster job as a greeting card writer. However, everything changes when Summer (Zooey Deschanel) becomes his boss' new secretary. Through numerous miscellaneous meetings the two realize they have quite a bit in common including a love of the Smiths, and the surrealist artist Magritte. Before long Tom is smitten. Toms belief in soul mates causes him to believe that he has finally found his. Unfortunately for Tom, Summer isn't looking for romance. Despite Summers skepticism Tom summons all of his might and courage to pursue Summer and convince her that their love is real.

The films fresh take on modern relationships & beautiful and original cinematography has made it one of my favorites. Not to mention the costume designer did an amazing job. I would kill to have every piece that Zooey Deschanel wears & to find a boy with a sense of style like Joseph Gordon-Levitts.

The new faces for Alexander Wangs Spring 2011 campaign? Musical producer Diplo, & gap toothed model Ashley Smith. Diplo's cool disposition and Ashley's wild and reckless persona bring out a youthful and bad ass side to this chic line. I've had the pleasure of seeing Diplo perform live on New Years Eve and seeing him in his suit spinning La Roux's In For the Kill, kind of caused me to slip into some form of magical euphoria. Ashley Smiths unique look and carefree attitude cause girl crushes on her to be more common then not. Thus it only seems fit that these two would be the new faces of T. Another reason we can thank Alexander Wang.

Vanity Fairs Hollywood Issue 2011

I really love the way Vanity Fair styled their annual Hollywood issue. The shoot evoked the glamour of 1930s, Shanghai an era of pure elegance. Plus, it gets me so excited for the Oscars and the brilliant gowns and tuxes we will get to see that stars wearing on the red carpet. Only three more weeks!

It's official, I'm addicted to Skins. A TV show depicting the lives of trouble making british teens in Bristol. Each character has a unique personality that often correlates with their outrageous style. Cassie, (one of my favorites) a young girl with her head stuck in the clouds often wears vintage & brightly colored clothes. Through the episodes you watch these teens crazy lives unfold and I must warn you, its addicting. Now with the success of the UK version, MTV has created a new US take off of the show. Check it out Mondays 10/9 central.

I grew up in a fairly small town known for its avocados and horses. When I was younger I used to ride all the time and loved the giant, majestic creatures but as I got older I became distracted with other things and eventually gave up riding. I miss it all the time and the weather today reminds me of brushing off their coats, picking their hooves, and saddling up for a ride. While it's been years since I last rode my thought is that it's never to late to start something you enjoy so who knows, perhaps I'll be back in the saddle again soon.

Well I feel like I probably rant on the weather a bit too often but I swear my mood is in sync with the sun. I spent this last weekend up in Santa Barbara relaxing on my friends balcony, reading a book and BBQing up some tasty treats. The weekend also included running around in bathing suits to the local food co-op and buying big pink grapefruits, organic pink lady apples, and as many oranges we could fit into our bag, riding bikes down dp where you can commonly hear music blasting from giant speakers in every house, & of course scouting the many surfers who make their way down to the beach. Over all it was a wonderful weekend.

I should probably go to sleep considering I have class in LA tomorrow but this weather has me enthusiastic for each beautiful morning. I'm like a kid of christmas every day the temperature is above 75!
